Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to support our team in County Kildare, Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will be an advanced technician with subject matter expertise on asset management and maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide support to technicians where necessary.
* Assist supervisors and managers in monitoring machine reliability.
* Identify and execute projects to improve machine/line efficiency.
* Liaise with production on line improvement projects.
* Assist with commissioning of new machinery.
* Assist with training of technicians and operators.
* Participate in evaluating existing preventive maintenance programs and modify where necessary.
* Provide on-call support and attend site if necessary.
* Support holiday and sickness cover for other shifts.
* Play a key role in planning and executing machine and fabric repairs in advance of visits and audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Production support on shift as required. Fully support the team leaders/line support i.e. on shift cover, with phone support & on callouts
* Support maintenance leaders with regards to projects, improvement plans, audit preparation, and maintenance works plans.
* Provide support and assist in evaluating existing PMs and setting up new PMs.
* Work with the maintenance team in the planning of shutdown works & machine overhauls.
* Train and support technicians and operators on existing & new machines.
* Coordinate with engineering stores ensuring the stocking of machine spare parts.
* Assist engineering stores in the evaluation of existing spare parts stocks and reduce redundant stock.
* Assist health and safety teams in carrying out risk assessments of new and existing machines and ensure training is rolled out to the Maintenance Team.
* Assist/co-ordinate the execution of health and safety machine/line upgrades and machine compliance in line with guarding and safety regulations.
* Involve in lean projects and process improvements.
* Document and train best practice methods for specific tasks on equipment in the plant.
* Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support is part of this role, transferring skills to other team members.
