About the TeamWe develop software to improve Workday Product Engineering teams’ productivity, enabling rapid development, testing, and shipping of high‑quality products. Our community of nearly 3,000 engineers relies on our scalable tools for continuous delivery.About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated Software Engineer to help craft the next generation of Workday Developer Tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain software that empowers engineering teams, including microservices API development.Integrate automation, CI/CD, and web testing tools to improve development workflows.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and build robust solutions.Write unit, system, and integration tests, debug issues, and profile performance.Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce coding standards.Document technical designs and contribute to the knowledge base.Qualifications5+ years of experience in Object‑Oriented and/or Functional Design and Programming (Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Scala, etc.).Experience with API development and delivering microservices.Hands‑on with automation, CI/CD, web testing, and containerization (Docker). Experience with GCP, AWS, and ETL pipelines.Strong TDD practices, debugging, and profiling skills.Good communication and collaboration skills.BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.Experience with common IDEs and tools (IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory).Capacity to write technical design documents.Benefits & CompensationBase Salary (Ireland): €72,000 – €108,000 per year.
