This position is part of a unionized bargaining unit.The hourly wage for this position is starting at 16.60 which is established in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on a candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, education and prior experience, a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role, whether it is the starting wage or higher, will be within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement.
This is a posting for an existing permanent part-time position.

What You'll Do:
* Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom or cooler.
* Restock shelves with new inventory, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations.
* Rotate stock (first-in, first-out method).
* Keep aisles, shelves, and the overall store clean and tidy.
* Sweep and mop floors as needed.
* Handle spills promptly and ensure the store is safe for customers.
* Help customers find specific products or answer questions about items.
* Provide recommendations and offer assistance with shopping needs.
* Occasionally assist with helping customers put groceries into their vehicle
* Conduct periodic inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
* Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
* Occasionally receive product and ensure the invoice is accurate.
* Set up and maintain promotional displays and end caps.
* Ensure that displays are visually appealing and well-organized.
* Update signage and price tags as needed.
* Perform price checks for customers and fellow employees.
* Ensure that all products have the correct price tags and labels.
* Provide support to other departments, such as bakery, deli/meat, or produce, when needed.
* Assist with gathering shopping carts or baskets and putting them away when needed.
* Assist with tasks or projects as assigned by management.
* Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Use equipment and tools safely and properly.
* Report any safety concerns or incidents to management.
Qualifications:
* Customer service driven.
* Able to stock merchandise and create displays.
* Good product knowledge and attention to detail.
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Retail experience is considered an asset.
* Able to stand for extended periods of time and work under minimal supervision.
* Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
