About this Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Director to lead our HR function within a dynamic, multi-site hospitality and services group.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our people strategy across our expanding business.
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational HR leadership with a focus on employee relations, engagement, retention, performance management, and policy development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a strategic HR partner to the leadership team, contributing to business objectives through people-focused solutions.
* Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development, and support any escalations.
* Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
* Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and improve retention across all departments and sites.
* Oversee the performance appraisal process, supporting managers to develop and retain top talent.
* Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and industry standards.
* Coach and support managers and leaders to build effective teams and address HR challenges confidently.
* Monitor and report on key HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and strategy.
Requirements:
* 8+ years of HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior or managerial role within a high-volume, customer-facing environment.
* Proven track record managing employee relations and HR operational issues.
* Demonstrated success in implementing staff retention strategies and performance development initiatives.
* In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Well-organized, proactive, and solutions-focused with strong decision-making skills.
* Flexibility to travel regularly to other locations as required.
* Relevant HR or Business qualification (Level 8 or equivalent).
* CIPD membership (or working towards) is desirable.
