They're seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to join their Dublin team and take ownership of maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising production network infrastructure.This is a hands-on role focused on incident resolution, network reliability, and operational improvements in a live enterprise environment.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Operations & TroubleshootingMaintain and support large-scale IP network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN/LAN connectionsInvestigate and resolve complex network incidents across Layer 2 and Layer 3Take ownership of service-impacting issues from detection through resolutionCoordinate with field teams and remote engineers to remediate network faultsAnalyse traffic, logs, and system alerts to identify and resolve root causesIncident Response & EscalationServe as the technical escalation point for operational network issuesRespond rapidly to high-severity events affecting network availability or performanceEnsure incidents are tracked, communicated clearly, and driven to full resolutionCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and service providersMonitoring & Continuous ImprovementUse monitoring and alerting tools to proactively identify potential network issuesContribute to optimising alert thresholds, dashboards, and operational proceduresRecommend and implement preventative measures to improve reliability and performanceParticipate in projects to enhance network scalability and operational efficiencyDocumentation & Process ManagementMaintain accurate incident logs, resolution steps, and technical documentationDevelop and update operational procedures and troubleshooting guidesSupport network configuration management and asset trackingEnsure operational tasks adhere to SLAs and service expectationsRequired Skills & Experience3+ years' experience in network operations or enterprise IP network supportStrong practical knowledge of IP networking technologies (IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)Experience troubleshooting network devices including routers, switches, and firewallsHands-on experience with network monitoring and incident management toolsAbility to analyse traffic flows, logs, and other network data to support troubleshootingStrong problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach under pressureClear written and verbal communication for incident reporting and documentationDesirable:Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIPExperience in multi-vendor network environmentsExposure to large-scale enterprise or cloud networksIf interested, please apply with your most up-to-date resume & I'll be in touch.
