We are working with a highly regarded investment firm seeking to hire a Research Analyst to join its investment team. This role will focus on analysing listed equities, monitoring portfolio holdings, and identifying new investment opportunities across global markets and sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting investment decision-making through detailed financial analysis, industry research, and ongoing engagement with companies, management teams, and wider market participants.ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain, and continuously update detailed financial models for portfolio holdingsConduct in-depth research across industries, competitors, suppliers, and broader market ecosystemsProduce regular investment notes, reports, and presentations for the wider investment teamMonitor portfolio companies and relevant industry developments on an ongoing basisEngage with company management teams, investor relations, and industry participantsIdentify new stock ideas and emerging industry themes globallyCollaborate closely with colleagues across the investment team, sharing insights and research findingsConduct field research and industry analysis to deepen understanding of companies and sectorsRequirementsCFA, ACA, or similar professional qualification preferred3–5+ years’ experience in fundamental equity research, ideally within a buy-side environment (long-only or hedge fund)Strong financial modelling and valuation capability with advanced Excel skillsExperience covering multiple sectors or industriesExcellent analytical, written, and presentation skillsStrong ability to synthesise large volumes of information and communicate key investment insights clearlyGenuine passion for investing and public marketsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
