Cavan (Site travel required) Salary: *****ph Contract: Full-time, Permanent Our client, who specialises in large-scale agricultural and industrial fit-outs, has retained our services to recruit a skilled Mechanical Fitter.
The Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and commissioning of complex automated systems.
This role offers a balance between workshop fabrication and on-site installation work across various projects in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities Mechanical Installation: Fitting out automated feeding, ventilation, and manure handling systems on-site.
Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving mechanical issues with motors, gearboxes, and pneumatic systems.
Project Commissioning: Ensuring all equipment meets performance standards before final client sign-off.
Reading Schematics: Interpreting technical drawings and engineering plans for bespoke assemblies.
Candidate Profile Qualified Professional: A trade-qualified Fitter, Agricultural Mechanic beneficial not essential.
Technical Aptitude: Experience with chain-and-flight systems, augers, and industrial gearboxes.
Adaptability: Comfortable working both in a workshop environment and at active agricultural/industrial sites.
