Applications are invited for the post of Learning Support Officer (Specified Purpose Wholetime) Ref 109/2025 A Learning Support Officer (LSO) works with students with disabilities in developing learning strategies to maximise the accessibility of course curricula.
The Learning Support Officer will conduct detailed student Needs Assessments and liaise with Assistive Technology Officers, Occupational Therapists and academic staff on course accessibility issues.
They will also advise students in relation to preparation for examinations, study techniques and project and assessment preparation and writing.
The post holder will be required to support students with disabilities & Dyslexia / Significant Literacy difficulties, in group sessions and 1:1 sessions.
They will also work as part of a multidisciplinary team and deal with a diverse and sensitive range of inquiries.
They will require proficient keyboard and computer skills, be able to use discretion and initiative, and liaise with other key support services within TU Dublin.
Hours of Work:This is a wholetime post.
35 hrs per week Location:The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e.
Aungier St, Bolton St, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght.
Regular attendance at other sites will be required.
Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Senior Staff Officer salary scale €56,756 ..
The salary for this post is €56756- €64715.
Appointments will be made at the appropriate point on the appropriate scale.
Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
Incremental credit may apply in line with university policy.
