At the core of a company's integrity lies the role of a Compliance Officer. Their responsibility is to ensure that all business operations are aligned with regulatory frameworks.
This includes conducting thorough internal audits, monitoring breaches, managing data access requests, and reviewing company policies to guarantee compliance with applicable regulations.
 * Internal audits and gap analyses must be conducted across various business functions.
 * Breaches, errors, and complaints must be closely monitored and reported.
 * Data access requests must be managed efficiently, while also assisting with data protection-related queries.
 * Policies, procedures, and documentation must be reviewed and updated regularly to maintain compliance.
 * Developing and delivering internal compliance and regulatory training is also a vital aspect of this role.
 * Support for insurer and internal audits may be required.
Requirements:
 * A minimum of 2 years' experience in Compliance, Data Protection, Audit, or a related function within the insurance industry in Ireland.
 * CIP or Data Protection qualification is essential, with a preference for candidates who have completed or are working towards the Professional Diploma in Compliance.
 * A strong working knowledge of Irish insurance regulation and associated governance requirements is necessary.
 * Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills are required, along with a high level of attention to detail.
 * The ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
