The Principal Engineering Project Leader role is an exceptional opportunity to spearhead a small team of engineers in the delivery of a high-profile project on Inis Oírr. The position requires a 24-month contract, with potential for extension to part-time capacity during the defects period.
Key responsibilities include liaison with stakeholders, supervision during construction works, contractor claim review, and compliance with licenses and contractual documentation. A typical workday is 8am-6pm, with flexibility required in line with the nature of the works.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in engineering or construction management, at least 10 years' postgraduate experience in civil engineering works, and 5 years' site-based experience in constructing bridge, marine, or civil works. Experience as a senior resident engineer, administering public works forms of contract, and developing Environmental Operating Plans is essential. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, with fluency in spoken Gaeilge desirable.
