Director of Quality and Technical Services
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, required, and efficient technical upkeep of our entire fleet of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish an Efficient Inspection Program: Develop and maintain inspection programs for each type of aircraft, coordinating with the FAA Office and incorporating descriptions into the Maintenance Manual.
2. Maintain Airworthiness: Ensure all aircraft are maintained in a current state of airworthiness, complying with FAA Regulations, Maintenance Operations Specifications, and the General Maintenance Manual.
3. Coordinate with Maintenance Planning: Collaborate to ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives and required inspections, maintaining aircraft in an airworthy condition.
4. Lead Quality Control Efforts: Utilize inspector experience and capabilities to achieve quality control objectives, directing inspectors in their duties and establishing minimum standards and training requirements.
5. Report Adverse Conditions: Inform the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering about any matters affecting airworthiness or maintenance efficiency.
6. Ensure Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain adherence to FAA regulations and address record-keeping procedures in the company manual.
7. Liaise with External Entities: Maintain relationships with OEMs, Federal Aviation Administration, and other relevant parties.
Requirements:
* Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
* At least 5 years of experience leading teams in a Part 121 maintenance organization
* Proficient in FAA regulations impacting Part 121 operations
* Extensive experience working across organizational boundaries
* Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to speak/read/write in English
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or related degree
* Experience with Bombardier CRJ aircraft or similar
* Experience in commercial service contract negotiations and administration
