Senior Estimator Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Cork, Ireland.
Main Responsibilities:
* Estimate Development: Develop and implement estimate plans for projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
* Risk Analysis: Complete estimate risk analysis and contingency calculations to ensure project viability.
* Client Communication: Present and review estimates with clients, providing clear and concise explanations of project costs.
* Process Improvement: Strive to improve templates and processes for estimate delivery, leveraging IT tools to enhance productivity.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: BSc or MSc in a recognised Industry field (Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering).
* Experience: Extensive experience in cost engineering, quantity surveying or estimating fields, including experience on a project construction site and in a related industrial sector.
Techincal Competencies:
* Design and Construction Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of design, procurement, and construction/field service processes and their inherent cost and schedule performance risks.
* Software Proficiency: Experienced with Spreadsheets, word processing and database software, Scheduling software, Quantity Surveying Software (Cost X; Navisworks; Buildsoft or equivalent), Risk Analysis (Monte Carlo) software, Commercial and/or proprietary Project Services systems.
Person Specification:
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster and grow positive relationships within the Project Services team, across The Company particularly with other offices, and with our Clients and partners.
* Problem Solving: Able to identify potential problems and elevate these to the appropriate level(s) of management.
