Due to continued growth and investment in Wexford site, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated Meat Factory Operators to join the production team.
The Role
This is not just a general operative role; we are looking for specialists. You will work across various high-tech departments, from precision cutting to managing automated packing lines, ensuring that every product meets our premium quality standards and full traceability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Processing: Expertly performing cutting, deboning, and trimming tasks to maximise yield and quality.
* Machine Operation: Operating and monitoring computerised production machinery and automated weighing/labelling systems.
* Traceability & Compliance: Maintaining meticulous digital and manual records to ensure 100% "farm-to-fork" traceability.
* Packaging: Overseeing vacuum packing and retail-ready packaging lines.
* Quality & Hygiene: Adhering to strict HACCP protocols and food safety standards in a temperature-controlled environment.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in a high-volume meat processing or factory environment.
* Certification: Must hold a QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) in Food Science, Meat Processing, or a related discipline.
* Skills: Proven proficiency in deboning and knife skills. You must be comfortable using computerised interfaces on the production floor.
* Resilience: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict dispatch deadlines.
* Standards: Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
* Eligibility: Must have a valid visa or the legal right to work in Ireland.
