Maintenance Technician, Limerick
Role Information;

Primary purpose of the role;
The maintenance technician role is to ensure the day to day functioning, upkeep and technical preventative maintenance of company assets. They will work as a member of the maintenance team but should have the self-confidence and skills to work and make decisions independently. They will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance of plant and utilities, in compliance with the companies H&S and Quality standards. They will be key to the manufacturing process within BS&B Limerick to ensure that manufacturing downtimes are kept to a minimum and that breakdowns and repairs are carried out internally to the highest quality standard in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner.
Day to day duties of the role;
•Carry out PM's as per schedule.
•Respond to production job requests.
•Maintain maintenance records for equipment and tooling.
•Documentation of PM procedures and tasks.
•Carry out repairs and unplanned maintenance.
•Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
•Fabrication of mechanical components, machined components, platforms, guards etc.
•Tool setting and tool qualifications.
•Installation and setup of equipment.
•Troubleshooting of equipment, electrical and mechanical.
•Maintain 5S and good housekeeping standards.
•Ability to work with third parties, electricians, programmers, service personnel.
Education:
•Level 6 Advanced Certificate (Toolmaker, Fitter etc.).
•Level 7 Diploma in Engineering/Manufacturing an advantage.
•Time served in a metal working engineering environment.
Experience:
•5+ years.
•Experience with hard tooling an advantage.
* PLC experience an advantage.
•Lean manufacturing an advantage.
•Machinist/ Tool Making / Fitter Fabricator.
•Experience with pneumatic and electro-pneumatic control.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
•Metrology knowledge.
