Our client is seeking an experienced Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its technical team supporting medical and hospital facilities across County Meath.
This is a hands-on, mobile maintenance role suited to someone confident in fault-finding, repairing machinery and electrical systems, and working in a live hospital environment where safety, reliability, and professionalism are critical. The role involves extensive travel between sites and occasional later finishes to ensure works are completed safely and correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repair of electrical systems and machinery
* Planned and reactive maintenance in hospital and medical environments
* Diagnosing faults using appropriate testing equipment (e.g. multimeters, insulation testers)
* Working on electrical and electro-mechanical equipment
* Ensuring compliance with healthcare safety, quality, and regulatory standards
* Accurate reporting and documentation of works completed
* Liaising with customers, site staff, and internal teams
* Travelling between multiple sites as part of a mobile role
Requirements:
* Qualified Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Technician
* Proven experience in maintenance and fault-finding (not installation-only roles)
* Comfortable working on machinery and electrical equipment
* Experience in medical, healthcare, commercial, or facilities environments (preferred)
* Full, clean driving licence (essential)
* Comfortable with extensive travel (approx. 40, ,000 km per year)
* Willingness to complete work before leaving site where required (occasional late finishes)
* Professional, calm, and customer-focused approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
