Cloud Software Engineer - High Performance Computing

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our cloud team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our chips can be orchestrated, observed, and managed from the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and device plug-ins. They will be responsible for delivering Kubernetes device plug-ins and extensions, implementing workload placement methods, and integrating with cloud hosted fleet management frameworks.

In addition to technical expertise, we are looking for a team player who is communicative and collaborative. The successful candidate will be able to work with ecosystem partners to integrate into their stacks and utilize cloud services to build scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop Kubernetes device plug-ins and extensions to ensure seamless orchestration and management of our platforms from the cloud.
">
* Implement workload placement methods to maximize performance of cloud and HPC workloads on our platforms.
">
* Develop cloud observability solutions by integrating with popular frameworks (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus) to ensure reliability, availability, and serviceability of our platforms.
">
* Integrate with popular fleet management frameworks for managing fleets of our platforms running in Kubernetes clusters.
">
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and manage releases.
">
* Ensure security best practices are adhered to, including identity and access management, encryption, and data protection.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
">

* Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering).
">
* 3-5 years of experience in the relevant field.
">
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

* Experience with Kubernetes and Kubernetes device plug-ins.
">
* Experience with Docker and containerization.
">
* Strong knowledge of networking, databases, and distributed systems.

* Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).

* Experience with observability tools (e.g., ELK, Open Telemetry, InfluxDB, Prometheus, Grafana).
">
* Experience with standard tools for source control (e.g., git), continuous integration, and task management (e.g., Jira).

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
