Offshore Substation Engineer (OSW), CorkAt AtkinsRéalis, one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer / Onshore Substation Engineer with relevant experience. This position is available immediately in our Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Dundalk offices.Typical OSW activities include:Feasibility StudiesSpecification preparationTechnical Bid ReviewDesign AssuranceDesign ReviewSite and FAT visitsOEM Support ServicesTechnical expert servicesSome original design involvementThe successful candidate will provide technical expertise into proposals and projects, representing the company in client meetings as appropriate. You will liaise with internal and external teams including HVDC, Civils, Cable, and P&C teams to deliver comprehensive end-to-end services.Qualifications:Degree and/or master's in electrical engineering, power engineering, or a related field.Chartered (CEng) or working towards Chartership with a relevant institution.Technical and industry expertise:Strong knowledge of OSW technology and projects, with a grounding in general power systems engineering.Experience coordinating across project disciplines and managing technical risks.Relevant experience in OSW, typically at Site Engineer or Engineering Supervisor level.Understanding of Systems Engineering principles, power system functionalities, and interactions with the Irish electricity grid.Ability to lead technical discussions, develop client relationships, and work under deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.Responsibilities:Complete physical engineering designs, plans, specifications, calculations, reports, and exhibits.Design to current codes and standards (Eirgrid, ESB, NG, IEC, IEEE).Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for structural and civil design requirements.Ensure project stages are completed within timeframes and budgets, providing guidance on schedules and tasks.About Us:At AtkinsRéalis, we prioritize Environment, Sustainability, and Health & Safety.
