Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies.
About the Role:
This is a key position that requires international travel, working closely with our European team and regular visits to Denmark, Switzerland, and other European countries.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design Stage:
o Lead the design of Pharma pure fluid utility requirements, ensuring compliance with pharma norms and regulations.
o Collaborate with customers to develop User Requirement Specifications.
o Participate in product evolution and range development.
o Ensure local health and safety regulations are met.
* Project Stage:
o Effectively manage project workflows until handover.
o Attend handover meetings to understand contract conditions and ensure purchase orders reflect scope of work.
o Conduct design reviews to verify sales designs comply with project requirements.
o Check water analysis, mechanical/hydraulic, and electrical engineering design requirements.
o Monitor progress, prepare reports, and attend meetings as required.
o Identify, quantify, and agree potential variations with clients.
o Obtain assistance from other departments to meet project requirements.
o Prepare hand-over packs for the Service Department and schedule system commissioning.
o Carry post-project meetings to improve performance.
* Finance:
o Monitor projects for scope, time, and budget.
o Obtain client approval for all variations before commencing work.
o Prepare cost spreadsheets to determine project value and margin.
o Maintain and improve project margin without compromising technical quality or standards.
* Customer Liaison:
o Represent the Company on project-related matters and control correspondence.
o Carry out client communications politely, professionally, and courteously.
o Plan site operations with relevant organizations briefed on technical, safety, and timescale requirements.
o Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors when required.
o Issue Operating Handbooks and provide operating training where necessary.
* AutoCAD:
o Produce accurate Process Flow Schematics, P&IDs, and Plant Room Layouts.
o Drawings must ensure equipment fits into space provided with ample service access.
o Manage generation of documentation according to Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
* Validation:
o Produce validation documentation testing the supplied system.
o Ensure validation documentation is completed correctly by the Company and client.
o File a copy of validation documentation in-house.
o Collate water treatment system certification documentation into a presentable file.
o Prepare operators manuals and certification files for clients.
