Are you ready to shape the future of water infrastructure while advancing your career? Due to significant growth across our Water Catchment Management business, we're looking for talented River Engineers to join our team in Ireland, supporting major frameworks with leading water companies delivering some of the largest Flood Risk Management frameworks ever seen.
Alongside playing a key role in the development of our innovative solutions and products, including Flood Modeller, the market leading flood modelling solution, you will be integral to the delivery of programmes that protect the environment, reduce flood risk brining lasting value to communities. From early planning to detailed design and delivery, your work will span the full project lifecycle giving you exposure to technically diverse and impactful projects designed to protect future generations.
The ideal candidate will have opportunities to work across a diverse range of projects and programmes including flood and drought management, abstraction licensing, and transport design - from concept through to commissioning - while engaging and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake water-related engineering analysis and design projects.
* Analyse and interpret model input and output data using data analysis and GIS software.
* Manage or support the delivery of projects.
* Deliver on technical work streams or packages across all project phases feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
* Support technical design reviews and ensure constructability, safety, and environmental compliance
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
* Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
* Promote and drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across project delivery.
Here's what you'll need
* Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Geography, Mathematics or a related discipline.
* Postgraduate degree (e.g., MSc) in a relevant technical area (desirable)
* Member or working towards Chartership (ICE, CIWEM, Engineer's Ireland or equivalent professional institution)
* Clear commitment to learn and develop with a flexible mindset.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Good motivation, influencing and people management skills so that you can lead a team and provide support for developing junior team members whilst continuing to develop your own career.
* Interest in future technologies and knowledge about the challenges within the industry, including data, carbon and sustainability
