Job Title: Operations Scheduler
Location: North County Dublin, Ireland
Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules for soups and intermediates, ensuring optimal use of resources to meet forecasted demands and customer orders.
The role involves close collaboration with production managers and supervisors to address and resolve any process-related issues. The Production Planner also maintains accurate production records, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and supports the production team in daily tasks.
Duties:
1. Develop and implement weekly production schedules for soups and intermediates, considering forecast data, order history, current production levels, and plant capabilities.
2. Ensure schedules align with production capabilities and address any constraints or limitations.
3. Prepare and distribute daily production plans and paperwork to the production team.
4. Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and available to support production activities.
5. Work closely with production managers and supervisors to streamline production processes and address any operational issues.
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Identify root causes of production issues and develop practical solutions.
8. Implement corrective actions to resolve production problems promptly and efficiently.
9. Maintain and update Excel files, including production paperwork, sales stock files, and internal tracker files.
10. Ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
11. Track and report daily KPIs related to production performance.
12. Analyse KPI data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
13. Provide support to the production team in their daily tasks and address day-to-day issues.
14. Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar certification.
* Proven experience as a Production Planner, preferably in an FMCG environment.
* Strong understanding of production planning principles and practices.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
* Effective communication skills to liaise with various departments and team members.
* Teamwork-oriented, with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues.
