This position is a permanent night shift: 23:00 pm - 7:00 am Monday – Thursday, 21:00 pm - 4:00 am Fridays.

Position Summary:
* Under limited supervision designs, develops and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production.
Key Responsibilities and End Results:
(Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following):
* Supports the Test Engineer in the development and commission of test solutions executing the test qualification of the fixture and program as per the specific system qualification process.
* Responsibility for providing the deliverables to support the solution in production to both the Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.
* Assists in the build and manufacture of testers, fixtures and environmental tooling as required to meet the customer expectations.
* The Technician Engineer provides the interface to the Test Support function providing comprehensive documentation and training for all test solutions implemented.
* Provides the interface to the Manufacturing function providing comprehensive documentation and coordinating training and education for all test operations implemented.
* Through working with the Test Support function monitor and contribute to the improvement of Test Yields, Efficiency, Intermittencies and Uptime providing accurate reporting and clear targets for improvement.
* In conjunction with the Test Engineer strives to consistently upgrade the test process balancing cost, coverage with the goal of providing an optimized and cost efficient test process.
* Works closely with manufacturing and test support to ensure prioritization of support activities. He/ She will be responsible for coordinating the timetable for test readiness based on the weekly production schedule through the appropriate Test Support staff.
* May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
* Provide hands-on technical support to the production areas.
* Trouble shooting of technical faults, ensuring a fast response and resolution of all issues.
* Maintain all production test equipment in excellent working condition, ensuring consistent performance with a focus on quality, output, and yield.
* Assist in the installation, set-up, and commissioning of new production test equipment.
* Assist in the completion of Test Measurement equipment calibration as required
* Provide input towards the continual improvement of the Test Engineering Department’s role within the organization, as dictated by the business requirements.
* Other ad hoc duties may be assigned.
Person specification:
* Computer literate with intermediate / Advanced MS Office skills.
* Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
* Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
* Proven ability to meet deadlines.
* A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
Job Specifications: The minimum education and experience required to perform this job competently
Essential criteria
* Minimum level 7 qualification in electrical or electronic engineering or relevant experience.
* BS/BA degree in Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Electronical / Electronics / Mechatronics. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.
* 1-2 years’ experience working as a Test Engineering Technician or a similar in electronic manufacturing industry.
* Strong technical writing and good documentation practice.
* Strong analytical and PC skills.
Desired criteria
* Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
