The role
Vice President, Senior Loan Agency Specialist
Location: Dublin.
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing an agency portfolio of syndicated and bilateral loans
Manage daily administration of loan activities, including facilitating loan advances, rollovers, payments, rate pricing, and fees
Read and interpret commercial loan agreements and related documents as necessary
Provide training, guidance, technical assistance, and operational support to team members
Identify and actively manage risks
Resolve operational issues and manage complex external escalations
Serve as a point of contact for escalations, operational and technical issues, ensuring proper resolution
Allocate and coordinate work within a team or project, applying subject‑matter expertise for syndicated loans within a defined area(s)
Communicate needs and issues with internal teams and external clients
Initiate and support key business program activities, including process improvements to drive greater operational efficiencies
Resolve complex issues by leveraging a deep understanding of loan system intricacies
Apply ingenuity and creativity to common recurring problems to develop permanent solutions
Assist the team manager with developing and driving strategic plans and initiatives
Qualifications
Preferably a degree and/or industry qualifications
7+ years of directly related experience with syndicated loans and/or comparable commercial banking experience
Experience with Loan IQ and ClearPar strongly preferred
Prior experience acting as a subject‑matter expert and coordinating the work of others
Ability to lead, provide guidance, and work with limited supervision
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
