Our client is seeking a Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive mixed team with a strong focus on cattle and sheep work. This role offers the satisfaction of working closely with farming clients, providing both routine herd health services and responsive emergency care, while still allowing some exposure to small animal and equine cases if that aligns with your interests.
In This Position, Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Carrying out routine farm visits including fertility work, herd health planning and preventative care
* Responding to urgent and emergency farm calls with calm, pragmatic decision-making
* Undertaking statutory testing and documentation as required for farm clients
* Contributing to occasional small animal and equine work in the clinic, depending on experience and interest
Qualifications Needed
* VCI-registered Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible) with a genuine enthusiasm for farm animal medicine
* Practical experience with cattle and sheep work, including routine and emergency procedures
* Full driving licence suitable for regular farm visits and rural travel
* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with farming clients and colleagues
