Warehouse & Operations Manager
to lead and optimise their warehouse operations.
This is a newly created, high-impact role responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring cost control, maintaining health & safety compliance, and delivering best-in-class service through continuous improvement.

The Role
Operations Management
* Lead and oversee all daily warehouse operations including inventory control, space utilisation, logistics, and productivity
* Plan and manage workflow, staffing levels, equipment layout, and operational targets
* Deliver Distribution Centre KPIs through effective shift and resource planning
* Manage delivery bookings and scheduling to ensure smooth and efficient operations
People Leadership
* Lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams to drive engagement and performance
* Implement structured training and development programmes
* Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies
* Maintain a safe, legally compliant warehouse environment
* Implement and enforce Group H&S procedures
* Apply strong HR knowledge within an operational setting
Financial & Asset Management
* Take ownership of warehouse budgets and cost control
* Manage fixed assets and material handling equipment (MHE)
* Drive efficiencies while maintaining service levels and safety standards
Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
* Monitor, analyse, and report on KPIs and performance metrics
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations
* Provide regular operational reporting to senior leadership
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution management
* Strong leadership and people management capability
* Expertise in inventory control, space optimisation, and productivity improvement
* Solid knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
* Experience managing operational budgets and driving cost control
* Strong KPI management and reporting capability
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
* Professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
* Experience leading change in growing or evolving operations
* Strong stakeholder communication skills
