Production Manager - Food Manufacturing Vickerstock is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Production Manager for their Newry-based facility. What's on offer Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Holidays: 28 days (including 8 statutory days) Your day to day Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead, motivate, and develop your teams to consistently deliver against key performance targets across output, efficiency, quality, and waste reduction. Leading and developing production teams through effective communication, shift planning, and performance management. Driving performance against core KPIs including productivity, yield, waste, and quality. Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards at all times. Working cross-functionally with technical, engineering, and planning teams to ensure smooth and efficient factory operations. Championing continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Your essential ingredients We are seeking a strong, hands-on leader with a proven background in food manufacturing, ideally within meat or chilled food environments. Demonstrated experience in a production leadership role within a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies. A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP). Excellent communication and people management skills, with a passion for developing high-performing teams. A flexible, proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability in a fast-moving environment.
