Accountant Role
We are seeking an Accountant to join our team in a busy successful company based outside of Monaghan town. The role will support the Finance department in various activities such as reporting, cost control, inventory analysis and continuous improvement across the business.
Requirements:
* Part or newly qualified Accountant with 1+ years experience in either industry or practice.
* Good analytical skills and comfort with large datasets.
* Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
* Understanding of commodity pricing, agricultural operations and/or previous experience in FMCG is desirable.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Financial Controller with preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and variance analysis.
2. Prepare journal entries (accruals, prepayments, stock adjustments, payroll postings).
3. Support weekly and monthly KPI reporting (volume, margin plant efficiencies).
