The role focuses on minimising equipment downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance while operating in full compliance with EHS and GMP requirements.ResponsibilitiesCarry out intensive planned preventative maintenance activities across all manufacturing and production equipmentSupport production by ensuring equipment is set up correctly and maintained to minimise downtimeRespond to equipment breakdowns efficiently, ensuring issues are addressed, eliminated, and documentedCommunicate effectively within the maintenance team to support daily operations and performance improvement, including structured shift handoversEnsure full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice across manufacturing, utility, and facility areasApply EHS policies and procedures including contractor safety and permit-to-work systemsUtilise permit-to-work and other safety systems to control maintenance activitiesCoordinate preventive maintenance execution with relevant departments in line with schedules using MaximoMaintain flexibility to support changing production and engineering requirementsEnsure maintenance activities comply with the site Quality Management SystemSupport FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ activities for newly installed equipment and systemsIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintainability and support implementationMaintain asset management and preventive maintenance processes in line with cGMP and site SOPsEnsure spare parts and change parts procedures are followed for storage, usage, and re-orderingExecute and document unplanned maintenance activities in accordance with approved proceduresComplete GMP documentation supporting batch activity, equipment qualification, and maintenance workUtilise electronic systems such as Maximo and Training Manager for documentation and handoversProvide technical support to production teams for machine maintenance and troubleshootingRequirementsTrade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical discipline and/or a Diploma in EngineeringPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environmentStrong technical writing capability for GMP documentationGood knowledge of GMP, HPRA, FDA regulatory requirements, and health and safety legislationStrong communication and decision-making skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervisionGood computer skills and experience using electronic maintenance and training systems
