QA Validation Engineer – Equipment, Utilities

R&D Partners is seeking a QA Validation Engineer – Utilities to join a pharmaceutical company on a contract basis during an exciting phase of growth. This role focuses on ensuring the validation of critical utility systems in a fast‑paced, regulated environment. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance and supporting the qualification of systems such as HVAC, purified water, compressed air, and steam. This is an on‑site 12‑month temporary contract position based in Cashel, Tipperary.
Review and approve documents related to system qualifications (e.g., IQ, OQ, PQ) for utilities. Oversee validation activities for utility and facility systems to ensure compliance.
Contribute to the development and upkeep of the Site Validation Master Plan (SVMP).
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to validate new and existing utility systems.
Investigate and address issues related to utility qualifications and implement corrective actions.
Review calibration and maintenance records for utility equipment.
Participate in risk assessments and technical evaluations affecting utility systems.
Support audits as a subject‑matter expert (SME) for utility validation.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Background in science or engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences).
Experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.
Knowledge of utility system validation (e.g., HVAC, purified water, clean steam, compressed gases).
Familiarity with validation principles and regulatory standards (e.g., HPRA, FDA).
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
