Plant Manager - Fermoy, Co. Cork - Senior Leadership Role
Our client, based in Fermoy, requires an experienced Plant Manager to lead its Fermoy production operation. The business continues to invest heavily in technology, value-added processing, renewable energy, and manufacturing capacity. This role offers the chance to join a high-growth, innovation-focused organisation at a key strategic time.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead all Production, Maintenance, and SHEQ activities on a busy site employing approx. 120 people. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on wider group manufacturing targets.
Responsibilities
Champion a safe working environment and ensure full SHEQ compliance
Develop and deliver the site production plan to maximise business return
Monitor performance against KPIs and drive efficiency improvements
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and standardise best practices
Build strong working relationships across production teams and supervisors
Support recruitment, onboarding, development and engagement in partnership with HR
Run regular production meetings and ensure alignment to plan
Contribute to group production strategy and capital investment planning
Oversee operations from log intake through primary and secondary processing
Drive operational excellence and a high-performance culture
Qualifications
Qualification in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or similar
Minimum 5 years' experience in Plant/Site Management
Experienced leader who brings clarity, direction and momentum to teams
Lead with confidence, accountability and a focus on results
