About the Team and Opportunity
To continue the successful growth of our Capital Projects Delivery team within EY’s Consulting practice, we are looking for experienced, motivated Contract Managers who have previously worked in construction projects. In this role you will play a pivotal part in overseeing contract management activities for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, managing risks, and maximising project success.
Your Key Responsibilities
Work directly with EY’s infrastructure clients to create innovative insights and solutions.
Collaborate with project teams to develop contract management plans aligned with project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
Lead the contract formation process, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
Monitor and enforce compliance with contract terms, conditions and specifications, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Manage contract changes, variations and claims, assessing their impact and obtaining necessary approvals.
Identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks by working closely with project stakeholders to proactively address issues.
Track contract performance against KPIs, milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates.
Facilitate resolution of contract disputes through negotiation, mediation or other mechanisms.
Cultivate strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors and other external partners.
Monitor contract budgets, expenditures and invoicing, reconciling financial discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date contract documentation and prepare status reports.
Internal Responsibilities
Assist in client account management activities, recruitment for the project team, financial aspects of client engagements, quality and risk management.
Build valued relationships with clients and colleagues to generate new business across EY.
Support the preparation of presentations and proposals for medium to high‑complex projects.
Communicate effectively with senior management and manage high‑performing teams.
Identify opportunities to better serve clients across service lines.
Support team development activities, including coaching, mentoring, performance reviews and people initiatives.
Maintain educational programmes to continually develop technical skills.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Third‑level educational qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Law or related field.
Experience in construction contract management and/or administration.
Experience in consulting or client‑facing role.
Multidisciplinary experience in project management, contract management and procurement.
Thorough understanding of contract management principles: administration, risk management, change management and dispute resolution.
Excellent communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

FiDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers)
LOGIC (Leading oil and gas industry competitiveness)
NEC4 (New Engineering Contract)
