Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of financial tasks, including accounts payable, treasury, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
The role involves weekly and monthly cash flow management, preparation and review of general ledger accounting at month end, and intercompany reconciliations.
The Financial Controller will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, reporting to Group, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
* Management of accounts Payable/Treasury/Payroll/General Ledger Accounting Teams.
* Weekly and monthly cashflow management.
* Responsible for preparation and review of all general ledger accounting at month end.
* Intercompany Reconciliations, monthly management of intercompany matrix and agree intercompany balances with other companies within the group.
* Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts and monthly reporting to Group.
* Prepare and review of monthly Balance Sheet accounts.
* Play a key role in the Year End audit, ensure all audit files are prepared in a timely manner and act as the primary point of contact with external Auditors.
* Ensure all revenue/CSO commitments are met by the finance team in a timely manner.
* Assist in Statutory Compliance (Accounting and Tax).
* Involved in the Year end Budget process.
* Ensure proper Finance Team structure (People and expertise) to drive continued finance process excellence and growing business engagement.
* Primary point of contact for routine matters between finance and the rest of the Business.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Previous management experience of a small team essential. Ideally including transactional finance personnel management.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to check accuracy of own work.
* Ability to priorities time correctly and provide clear direction to team members.
* Experience using an integrated ERP system, IFS experience desirable.
* Strong computer skills, especially Advanced Excel.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Exercise good judgement and make decisions.
