Job Title: Person In Charge, Residential and Respite Services
Job Description:
The role of Person in Charge, Residential & Respite Services, encompasses the management of all aspects of the Designated Centre. This includes provision of a high-quality, person-centred service that promotes and supports independent living and community integration, personal development, and work opportunities for individuals attending the Service.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing residential & respite services, working closely with the Integrated Services Manager to achieve operational objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of the Health Act Regulations, HIQA Standards, and national policies in the disability sector.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Meet the requirements of the Health Act Regulations with regard to the requirements of a Person in Charge
* QQI Level 8 (Honours) Degree in Social Care/Social Care Studies, Nursing, or equivalent is required
* Recognised management course OR currently enrolled in one (desirable)
* A minimum of 3 years post-qualification social care experience in the area of intellectual disability is required
* A minimum of 3 years management/leadership experience within a healthcare setting
* Have a strong working knowledge of the HIQA Standards and Health Act and associated Regulations and Guidance, and knowledge of national policies in the disability sector
* Have an up-to-date, valid Irish Driving Licence
* Eligibility to work in Ireland

This is a full-time permanent post working Monday to Friday in Tipperary town. The service provides residential, respite, and day services for adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
Reporting to the Integrated Services Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in managing residential & respite services, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
