About the Role
Job Purpose:
The Strategic Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead / Specialist is a key role within the Fundraising Team, with responsibility for prospecting, cultivating, developing, and stewarding high-value partnerships across corporate, philanthropic, and legacy income streams to drive revenue growth and support IHF strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Corporate and Philanthropic Partnerships:
Identify and Cultivate New Partnerships:
Proactively identify, engage, and cultivate a portfolio of strategic, high-value partners, including philanthropic foundations, corporate donors and partners, and high-net worth individuals, to foster long-term, impactful relationships.
Strategic Relationship Management:
Work with the Fundraising Management Team to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective high-value corporate and philanthropic partners to secure sustainable funding and support for IHF's work.
Proposals and Presentations:
Create, develop and deliver compelling fundraising proposals, pitch presentations, and impact reports, tailored to funder / partner interests, and facilitate regular engagement opportunities and activities to nurture and maintain strategic partnerships.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work effectively with internal teams (services, programmes, advocacy, marketing and communications, finance) to identify opportunities and build lasting, impactful relationships with external stakeholders to support organisational goals.
Impact Measurement:
Work with senior leadership and Monitoring and Evaluation Lead to develop impact metrics for proposals and funded projects and effectively communicate impact to partners and funders through regular reporting to support transparency and accountability.
Data, Documentation and Analysis:
Maintain accurate records of corporate and philanthropic partnership activities, funding agreements, and donor communications, and analyse data to identify trends, interpret reports, and provide insight and recommendations to inform strategy and support strategic income growth.
Culture of Philanthropy:
Support the Fundraising Management Team to lead on embedding a culture of philanthropy within IHF, increasing organisational understanding and engagement to support strategic objectives and income growth.
Legacy Growth:
Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with existing and new high-value donors to introduce IHF legacy giving and encourage pledges.
Legacy Promotion:
Work with the Fundraising Management Team to develop and drive support for IHF's legacy programme with aligned marketing plans to support growth targets.
Data Management and Analysis:
Maintain accurate records on legacy gifts on the CRM system, tracking high-value donor engagement and communications, and analysing data to identify insights and trends to inform future strategy.

Legacy Growth:

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in a similar role or a role with strong transferable skills.
Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing partnership agreements and stakeholder management and a proven track record of achieving and delivering on agreed income targets.
Confident networker with the ability to influence and negotiate while forging strong relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams.
Proven ability to multi-task, be self-directed, and manage resources to deliver on deadlines and financial targets.
Excellent communication and research skills, with consistent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and also add value working collaboratively as part of a team.
Fully proficient in MS Office – specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Enthusiastic, warm, positive and solution focused attitude with flexible approach to working hours and travel in response to varying demands of the role.
An understanding or interest in the not-for-profit sector and fundraising best practice.
Working knowledge of Fundraising CRM systems, IHF uses Raiser's Edge NXT.
Understanding of GDPR (desired but not essential as training will be provided).
Experience or understanding of Fundraising and related policy and compliance.
Full, clean driving licence holder with access to own car (ideally as this role will require travel).

Pension:
As a member you will be required to make a pension contribution of 5% on your gross annual salary.
IHF will contribute 10% on your behalf to a company contributory pension scheme.
Death in Service:
4 times annual salary.
Income Protection:
75% of salary and cover pension contributions.

Closure of the office on Good Friday, Christmas Eve and time between Christmas and New Year.
