Job Opportunity: Structural Engineer in Sligo
Our client, a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in Sligo.
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors. Responsibilities include designing and managing various projects in collaboration with the wider team, and providing guidance to junior staff members.
Requirements:
1. Over 6 years of post-graduate experience in the design and management of structural and civil engineering projects
2. Chartered status or actively progressing towards Chartered status
3. Comprehensive experience working independently across structural, civil, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects, including both design and construction supervision
4. Hands-on experience leading, managing, and delivering structural and civil engineering projects across multiple sectors
5. Developing leadership skills, with a focus on business development, client relationship management, technical leadership, team coordination, and motivation
6. High level of technical expertise in all engineering-related fields
7. Strong grasp of Eurocodes, steel and concrete design, with proficiency in SCIA or similar structural analysis software
8. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
9. Capability to manage projects of various sizes for diverse client types
10. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
11. Strong track record of meeting tight deadlines
12. Experience in design-build projects is advantageous
