Job Specification/Role Responsibilities:
* Work closely with site management teams and HSQE team in continually improving our Business Management Systems.
* Continual promotion of the health and safety ethos and culture at all levels in the Company and with sub-contractors.
* Provide professional support and advice to site management teams and staff on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters.
* Consulting with the site teams and others to identify significant areas of risk, develop and document measures to control and reduce risks to an acceptable level.
* Assist the site management teams in reviewing relevant documentation (direct and subcontractor) prior to commencement on site and as the works progress.
* Compile, coordinate and partake in toolbox talks, inductions and other consultation sessions.
* Attend and contribute to HSQE meetings at site, regional/sector and company level.
* Carry out regular site inspections with Coffey teams, identify initiatives to improve performance and assist in addressing opportunities for improvement.
* Coordinate learning reviews, produce relevant reports, advise and implement applicable recommendations.
* Assist and collaborate with the clients' representatives and relevant external bodies (e.g. enforcing agencies) and attend client and external site inspections and audits.
* Assisting in producing periodic HSQE reports as required.
* Sourcing, planning and delivering training to employees as required to recognised/acceptable standards. Assisting in coordination of other training (e.g. external training providers) where required.
* Assisting in monitoring and maintaining relevant training records.
* Setting up of and assisting in the review of sub-contract/supplier Insurances.
* Assist in organising CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Events.
* Assist in the input to tender/prequalification/pre-construction process where required.
* Assist in coordination of fire safety certification, fire drills and training where required.
* Engaging and promoting with the LEAN Programme in Coffey.
* Perform other duties as required.
Desirable/Requirements:
* Desirable HSQE experience of 3-7 years
* Experience in HSQE in civil construction
* 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety
* Experience with relevant HSQE standards and management systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
* High standard of written English is essential.
* Computer literate
* Full clean Irish driving licence
* Authorised to work in Ireland i.e. stamp 4 visa or critical skills visa
