Title: Mechanical Construction Supervisor

Rate: Up to €57 per hour
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Supervisor to join our Engineering Service Provider Team, overseeing successful construction completion across multiple concurrent projects on a live pharmaceutical site.
This role operates within a highly regulated, cGMP environment and reports directly to the Construction Lead.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader, adaptable to change, and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional design, CQV, and production teams. Delivering projects on time, within budget, and safely is critical.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure full compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations;
Lead and manage mechanical construction activities across multiple projects, including production and non-production buildings such as utilities, tank farms, incinerators, and wastewater treatment plants;
Review and approve contractor method statements and risk assessments;
Complete and approve daily permits for each project, including end-of-day walkdowns and closures;
Collaborate with design teams to ensure accurate completion of work;
Work closely with production/operations teams to ensure safe equipment handover and completion of cleaning inspections prior to installation;
Review, walkdown, and approve Mechanical Test Packs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support construction management estimates with the Construction Lead;
Participate in validation walkdowns to ensure smooth project handover;
Facilitate and participate in meetings, workshops, and continuous improvement activities;
Undertake all training and assessments relevant to the role;
Ensure all activities comply with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP);
Record and report project changes impacting budget or schedule.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
10+ years of recent, relevant experience in Mechanical Construction, preferably in Pharma/Chemical/Biotech industries;
Proven track record in mechanical construction leadership;
Knowledge of ATEX and Hazardous Area Zoning;
Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks within tight schedules;
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities;
Strong communication skills and a creative approach to problem-solving;
Leadership capability in cross-functional teams, while also able to work independently.
