Post-doctoral Research Fellow - Renewable Energy
This is a temporary position within the School of Agriculture and Food Science. The project involves converting semi-solid by-products and effluents from the meat industry into renewable energy.
Job Description
* The role focuses on anaerobic digestion (AD) and pyrolysis to produce biogas for energy use and biochar for carbon sequestration, supporting both energy generation and sustainable waste management.
We are looking for an early-stage researcher who can scale up AD and pyrolysis processes to pilot level, develop a techno-economic model, create a digital twin to support broader industry adoption, while contributing to regional EU sustainability goals.
