Hours: Full time, permanent, 8.30am to 5.30am, Monday to Friday

Summary
Ace Express Freight are seeking an experienced Senior Operator to join our Air & Ocean freight team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the performance and strategy of air and ocean freight services, ensuring seamless coordination, and delivering operational excellence across global trade lanes, for our customers.
Duties and responsibilities
This is an interesting and varied role with responsibilities including but not limited to:
* Day-to-day management of global air and ocean freight operations.
* Managing communications with Carriers, Hauliers, Customs agents, and third-party service providers.
* Develop routing and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and cost-effective transportation solutions.
* Oversee compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and internal policies.
* Work closely with Sales & Operations teams to align logistics capabilities with Business needs.
* Implement performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives in service delivery and transit times.
* Analyse data and market trends to inform operational decisions and future planning.
Experience, skills, and competencies
* Minimum 3 years of experience in international logistics, with a strong focus on air and ocean freight.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, customs clearance processes, and international trade compliance
* Proficiency in logistics systems and software.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
* Lead by example in upholding the Company's Values & Pillars, at all times.
* Positive 'can do' attitude and highly ambitious approach.
