About the Role
The Stock Management Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating stock discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement of stock controls.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years' experience in inventory, stock, or supply chain accounting and strong Excel and data analysis capability.
The successful candidate will have a background in distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or retail and possess strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system (Microsoft D365)
* Reconcile to the general ledger
* Investigate stock discrepancies and support continuous improvement of stock controls
* Coordinate and analyse cycle counts and annual stock takes
* Manage costing and valuation, including landed cost accuracy and stock valuation reviews
* Support month-end close activities, audits, and preparation of inventory schedules
Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
* OR equivalent experience in a similar role
* 2-5 years' experience in inventory, stock, or supply chain accounting
* Strong Excel and data analysis capability; comfortable with large data sets
* Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision, etc.) - Microsoft D365 experience is a plus
