Clinical Skills Facilitator/Clinical Nurse Manager 2
Oncology/Haematology
Permanent Contract, Full Time Hours.
The Clinical Skills Facilitator/CNM2 reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager 3 Oncology/Haematology and Assistant Director of Nursing, Divisional Lead. Professionally accountable to the Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities:
* Implement the strategic vision for nursing and support nursing staff in the Oncology Haematology Department at Mercy University Hospital.
* Provide clinical leadership to ensure effective, efficient, and patient-centered nursing care.
* Coordinate communication within the nursing department and with the multidisciplinary team.
* Manage education and professional development records for nurses in Oncology and Haematology wards.
* Support Clinical Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Registered Nurses in competency development.
* Attend relevant meetings and staff days to facilitate communication and improvement.
* Develop relationships with wards and departments to promote quality, timely patient care.
* Ensure the clinical environment supports staff learning and development.
* Engage in continuing professional development through literature, research, and attending staff days.
* Participate in developing and delivering induction and training programs for nursing staff.
* Contribute to the ongoing education of new nurses in Oncology/Haematology.
* Monitor patient satisfaction with nursing care and foster good working relationships across disciplines.
* Evaluate performance related to human resource management and development.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Registered in the General Nurse Division of the NMBI/Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann.
* At least 5 years post-registration nursing experience and 2 years in nursing management at CNM2 level in an Oncology Haematology acute setting; 3 years preferred.
* Postgraduate qualification in Oncology or Haematology Nursing.
* Proficient in systemic anti-cancer treatment administration and possess clinical, leadership, managerial, and administrative skills.
