Calibration Technician
Experienced technician responsible for testing, calibrating, and maintaining precision measurement instruments and equipment. Provides technical support, guidance, and process improvements across production and operational areas.
Responsibilities
1. Calibrate electronic test and signal-generating equipment to meet required standards.
2. Test, adjust, and maintain various measurement instruments including electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and pressure-type devices.
3. Develop and execute calibration sequences, methods, and procedures using specifications, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
4. Disassemble, clean, and repair test equipment components such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
5. Support production, operations, maintenance, testing, and safety by troubleshooting and validating equipment performance.
6. Compile, analyze, and manipulate technical data using established formulas and mathematical procedures.
7. Lead minor projects, interpret test data, and develop technical reports.
8. Provide training, coaching, and support to junior technicians.
9. Suggest improvements to enhance work processes and calibration efficiency.
10. Ensure compliance with quality standards using statistical process control and verification techniques.
Requirements
11. Minimum of 4 years of relevant technical experience in calibration, maintenance, or related fields.
12. Vocational or technical education/certification preferred.
13. Strong knowledge of operational systems, industry techniques, and calibration best practices.
14. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage small-scale projects.
15. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
16. Skilled in problem-solving and proposing practical solutions for review and implementation.
17. Effective communicator with internal teams, capable of providing and receiving technical guidance.
18. Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior staff.
