Social Care Worker – Athlone

3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Social Care Worker for a community-based healthcare service in Athlone, supporting young people under 18 and their families affected by substance and alcohol misuse.
This is a meaningful front-line role where you will work directly with young people and families, supporting recovery, wellbeing and resilience in a supportive community setting.
Working Pattern
* 1 day per week in Athlone
* 1 day per week in Mullingar
This arrangement provides continuity for service users and a balanced working week.
The Role
As a Social Care Worker, you will deliver person-centred support to young people and families, working closely with community, health and education services to promote positive outcomes.
This role suits candidates with experience in community care, youth work, addiction support or social care settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support to young people affected by substance or alcohol misuse
* Support families impacted by addiction
* Develop and review individual care and support plans
* Promote recovery, independence and wellbeing
* Liaise with agencies including CAMHS, Tusla, schools, GPs and youth services
* Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and records
* Attend case conferences, meetings and supervision
* Follow Children First, safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Requirements
* Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Counselling, Psychology or a related discipline
* Experience in community, youth or social care settings
* Strong communication, empathy and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of child protection procedures and Children First guidelines
* Garda Vetting and legal right to work in Ireland
* Full driving licence and access to own transport desirable
Pay & Benefits
* €19.70 per hour
* Daytime shifts
* Double pay on weekends and Bank Holidays
* Mileage allowance for travel between Athlone and Mullingar
