We are currently recruiting for the Nurse Graduate Programme at a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland .
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the nursing team to ensure excellence in patient care, fostering a well-educated and highly motivated team of carers while ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources .
Responsibilities Practice in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, legal requirements, Nursing Department standards, and NMBI guidelines.
Provide high-quality nursing care by planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care from admission to discharge, including completing assessments, care plans, and other relevant documentation.
Communicate effectively with nursing, medical, and multidisciplinary staff, reporting pertinent patient care information verbally and in writing, and using the approved ISBAR handover tool.
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in line with hospital policies, ensuring approved abbreviations and documentation standards are followed.
Comply with medication policies, including the safe handling, recording, and administration of scheduled drugs.
Respond effectively and calmly in emergencies, exercising discretion and sound clinical judgment, referring to CNMs, medical staff, or other disciplines as appropriate.
Take responsibility for stock management, ensuring adequate supplies are available and maintained in the department at all times.
Mentor and support student nurses, new staff nurses, and care assistants, contributing to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
Participate in hospital initiatives, including accreditation, performance review processes, incident reporting via Q Pulse, and quality improvement projects, taking corrective actions as necessary in consultation with the CNM.
Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) on the current live register of NMBI.
Newly qualified or qualified within the last two years.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
IT skills are desirable.
