We are currently inviting applications for an Assisted Decision Making (ADM) Co-ordinator to lead and support the implementation of Assisted Decision Making across services in line with the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act ****.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in embedding rights-based, person-centred practices across the organisation while supporting staff and services to implement best practice in decision making supports.
Assisted Decision Making (ADM) Co-ordinator Permanent Full-time Position Salary: Admin Grade VI, HSE Consolidated Pay Scales Essential Requirements: Relevant third level qualification in Health, Social Care, Training Education or related discipline (minimum QQI Level 7) Minimum 3 years experience in disability or social care services Strong knowledge of the Assisted Decision Making Act **** and National Consent Policy Demonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches in adult services Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills Experience conducting audits, report writing and data analysis Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Full clean manual driving licence and access to own vehicle Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of national standards, regulations and quality frameworks Experience in incident and risk management Experience developing and delivering training Experience developing guidance documents and staff resources Knowledge of Assistive Technology Experience supporting individuals with varying support needs Experience in Person-Centred Planning and individualised supports Ability to analyse and compose quality and safety to improve outcomes Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of Assisted Decision Making practices across the region Provide guidance and support to services in line with the Assisted Decision Making Act **** Develop and deliver training to staff on ADM and consent practices Support services in implementing person-centred approaches and individualised supports Monitor compliance with national standards, regulations and quality frameworks Carry out audits and analyse data to support quality improvement Develop resources, tools and guidance for staff Work collaboratively with individuals supported, service leadership, MDT, external stakeholders, advocates etc.
