The Flying Enterprise Complex, one of Cork's most iconic hospitality destinations featuring a Bar, Restaurant, Courtyard, Deli and Event Spaces, is now recruiting an experienced General Manager to lead our bar operations and drive exceptional service standards.This is a senior role within a large and growing hospitality group and requires a strong leader with excellent bar management experience.About the RoleThe General Manager will oversee the full bar function across the complex, ensuring smooth operations, consistent quality, team leadership, and profitability. This role focuses on high standards, strong controls, supplier relationships, staff management and an exceptional guest experience.You will work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver operational excellence across all bar service points.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of all bar areas across the complexLead, train and motivate bar staff and supervisorsMaintain exceptional service standards and a consistent customer experienceSet, communicate and enforce service procedures, bar specs and presentation standardsOversee stock control, ordering and waste managementMonitor bar GP, margins and cost controls in line with targetsManage relationships with suppliers, breweries and distributorsEnsure full compliance with licensing laws, H&S, food safety and internal policiesOversee cash handling, float management and till reconciliationSupport event delivery, function bars and seasonal activationsAssist with roster planning, labour control and performance managementDrive continuous improvement across service, training and product offeringMaintain all bar equipment, cleanliness and presentation standardsReport operational updates and KPIs to senior managementRequirements3+ years in a bar management or bar operations roleStrong product knowledge across beers, spirits, cocktails and stock managementExcellent leadership skills with experience managing medium-to-large teamsStrong understanding of cost control, GP margins and bar profitabilityAbility to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of licensing laws and compliance requirementsAbility to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periodsAmbition, professionalism and a commitment to delivering top-tier hospitalityWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceStrong career progression within a growing hospitality groupA dynamic and supportive management teamStaff perks, training and development opportunitiesThe opportunity to help shape one of Cork's most exciting hospitality venuesHow to ApplyPlease submit your CV through Indeed.
