Job Purpose We are seeking a reliable and professional Category C Driver to join our transport team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient nationwide delivery of food products and catering supplies, ensuring orders are delivered accurately, on time, and in excellent condition while providing outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities Carry out nationwide deliveries of food products and catering supplies to customers across Ireland. Load, transport, and unload products safely and efficiently. Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements. Ensure all deliveries are completed according to company schedules and customer requirements. Verify delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery where required. Maintain product quality and food safety standards during transportation. Follow all road traffic legislation, transport regulations, and company procedures. Operate vehicle-mounted equipment safely where applicable. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers. Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy. Report delivery issues, delays, or customer concerns promptly to management. Adhere to health and safety policies, including safe manual handling practices. Essential Requirements Qualifications & Licences Valid Category C Driving Licence. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Valid Digital Tachograph Card (where applicable). Clean driving record or minimal penalty points. Experience Previous experience driving Category C vehicles. Experience in food distribution, logistics, or multi-drop delivery operations is desirable. Experience handling delivery documentation and customer interactions. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of Irish road networks and transport regulations. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Good communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively. Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Working Hours Full-time permanent position. Early morning starts may be required. Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods. Health & Safety Responsibilities Comply with all company health and safety policies. Wear appropriate PPE when required. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
