This role involves close collaboration with design teams, ESB partners, and Contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Lead thedesignof complexlinear utility infrastructure projectsfrom feasibility through detailed design,supportingprojectdesignprofessionals andteamsimplementing international best practices and standards. Developengineeringworkspackages includingscope definition,tender,design,procurement, technicalassessmentand commercial oversight. Co-ordinatestakeholdersconsultation and negotiationto progress projects through all lifecycle stages and governance gates - from concept stage through to construction. Coordinatereviewsof internal and external designsto ensure compliance with relevant specificationsensuring that lessons learned are recorded and appropriately actioned. Provide technicaldirection and mentoring toproject teamsand membersthrough collaboration to improve team performance and outcomes. Management of materials including order processing, tenderevaluationandfactory acceptance tests. Project coordination including commercial management, programmemanagementand the role of PSDP Experience and Qualifications Essential Level 8 Engineering Degree or equivalent Minimum7years of relevant engineering experience Proven ability tocordinatethemanagement ofsignificant projects or key aspects of projects Goodcommercial and project management skills Goodsafety awareness and communication skills Valid driver's license for ROI, access to a car, and flexibility to travel nationwide Desirable Chartershipin a recognized professional institution Experience in utilityor linear infrastructureprojects Familiarity with FIDIC Conditions of Contractor similar Experience in performingthe role ofdesigneron projectsand the PSDP role Location This position will be basedin ESB Engineering and Major Projects (EMP)Officesin Dublin.
