We are currently seeking a Production Technician to support our manufacturing operations in County Kerry. The position involves working with precision components for the global healthcare market using injection moulding, silicone moulding, and automated assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Shift Production Supervisor to ensure smooth production during the shift
* Gain hands-on experience in various manufacturing processes including injection moulding, silicone moulding, and automated assembly
* Troubleshoot and fine-tune processes to maintain efficiency and respond to machine breakdowns promptly
* Assist with mould changeovers, routine maintenance, and process optimisation to reduce downtime
* Ensure product quality meets documented specifications and production targets are achieved
* Monitor machine performance, reject levels, and material usage to maintain efficiency
* Communicate production objectives clearly to team members and help organise workflow
* Step in to supervise and manage operatives when the supervisor is unavailable
* Ensure raw materials and components are available for continuous production
* Promote and maintain a safe working environment following cleanroom and hygiene regulations
* Support employee training and keep training records up-to-date
* Report issues or concerns to management in a timely and constructive manner
Requirements:
* At least 1 year's experience in a similar position
* Relevant technical qualification (e.g. QQI Level 6, Diploma, or equivalent in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines) is highly desirable but not essential
* Basic understanding of injection moulding, silicone moulding, or automated assembly processes is desirable
