Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Secretary to support our Consultant Clinics on a short-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment and providing exceptional patient service.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinic administration and dictaphone typing skills, with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a medical secretary. They will be confident using patient or clinical systems and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In this role, you will provide a warm and professional reception service to patients and families, manage consultant diaries, schedule appointments and organise clinic workflow. You will also handle all phone queries with discretion, accuracy and excellent customer care.
Responsibilities include maintaining and updating patient records on hospital systems, processing payments, completing daily banking and issuing invoices. You will prepare and submit documentation for private health insurers and type medical letters, reports and clinical correspondence (audio/dictaphone typing essential).
You will also support clinic efficiency and uphold hospital confidentiality and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
