Site-Based Construction Project Engineer
As a key contributor to the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical packages, you will report to the Project Manager and support the coordination, planning, and execution of on-site activities. The role is hands-on, requiring active engagement with tradespeople, foremen, supervisors, and other contractors.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with design specifications, health and safety regulations, and client requirements while contributing to the continuous improvement of installation practices. Your work will have a direct impact on project delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure mechanical and electrical systems are installed in accordance with design drawings, project specifications, and programme schedules.
2. Update schedule progress to planners and provide related information for accurate project indicators.
3. Oversee engineering documents including RFIs, method statements, technical submittals, and as-built records.
4. Provide technical guidance and resolve site issues by liaising with design consultants, suppliers, and site foremen.
5. Safety inspections and contribute to quality control processes to meet legal and contractual standards.
6. Plan and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks, testing systems, and handing over in line with client expectations.
Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or Building Services), or a relevant construction engineering discipline.
